I forget how long I boiled mine for but when I got done they weren't crisp Water was still hot so I just put them back in for 15 minutes. I think it was boiling for the last 7 or 8 minutes |

My grandmother used to can everything. I always had free food as long as I brought the jars back. Her basement was filled with food. Grandparents lived through the depression and lived prepared, lived smart.
If I had a wife we'd be gardening and canning. Butter pickles were always my favorite. |

I think it was boiling for the last 7 or 8 minutes I think that is where I goofed. I started timing them when the rolling boil started again |

Did this when I first got married, was living with my inlaws at the time. My mother inlaw was ready to have me shot after a couple weeks (words of wisdom, do not do it inside....) Quoted:
