Buying my first house (hopefully. I hope the listing agent and the relocation company get AIDS, a cure is discovered, and on the day they are declared AIDS free they get prostate cancer).
I've never had homeowners insurance before. Who sucks? Any recommendations?

Go with a major.... are smaller companies with Pekin, Grinell (sp?), Metlife and travelers have decent reputations.....

Liberty Mutual and USAA had competitive rates.
I have auto owners now, also competitive, but I heard they denied a claim for a garage that was racked in a severe snowstorm with high wind.

get an umbrella liability policy while you are at it.

I use American Family for house and auto. Will most likely go elsewhere for motorcycle.

Just switched form Allstate to Liberty Mutual... I saved about 300 bucks a year on my homeowners and 700 a year on the vehicles... When you look for insurance bundle home and auto... they will give you a discount (well most do)
