Ok, this is a tough one, but I bet the hive mind will have some suggestions. Being that all insurance companies are in the same category as lawyers and politicians, it's a rough one to answer, but here goes. What company, in your opinion, offers the best homeowners insurance, and is the easiest to deal with, without an excess of B.S..

I don't know about costs, but they are easy to deal with and have a great website and iphone app.

I'm told the cost are good, but I've never compared.

USAA is far and away the best insurance company out there. I bank with them and are also excellent.
#2 Ameriprise. YES. Very good had them for years.

Thanks for the quick reply's. Our Military personel should have the very best available, and I am glad this is the case. I have heard of USAA before from other Vet's that I know. Sadly, I am NOT a vet, but I am old and responsible, and my father is a WW2 Vet, so I signed up and it appears that they accepted me. I am waiting for an e-mail to finalize my membership. Thanks for the help!
