Don't know what made me think of them. I was dumb enough to watch 2 of them. You'd have to be a sick fuck to even come with that level of depravity!
No I don't have a link to share, I watched them many years ago while drinking. |

I love the plot twist when the girl out finances her executioner and the cuts his Dick off. She turned him into a tranny

After seeing The Terrifier on Netflix, I am immune to any other horror movies.
Edit: beat by 27 seconds Edit 2: Haven’t seen Hostel but I watched Saw after watching the Terrifier movies, and *yawn*… so tame. Should be rated G in comparison. |

When I saw the guy cut the victims Achilles tendon, I was like WTF!
Followed by damn, he's done for sure and a little laugh. My wife looked at me like I was crazy! |

I thought the first one actually had a pretty good plot and acting, just a bit too much for me.

Lol at all these mainstream gucci flicks
Watch cannibal holocaust next for a real treat. |

What was that movie that was set as the old west cowboy days? Alot of folks thought it was very graphic. I watched that with my wife. It was nothing compared to hostel. And I've also see the saw movie which was pretty bad.

True horror does not mean mere disgust at some over the top gore. Agreed Hostel is 100% torture porn. Yea, the gore from most modern and mainstream horror has gotten so predictable and boring. Streaming has really helped make the classics so much easier to watch. Spent last night watching The Thing |

View Quote I've seen the first one. Pretty twisted. |

Watch a Serbian Tale or maybe it is called a Serbian Movie/Film, even more fucked up.
|

View Quote Just got through with the 1st one. Lame as all hell; predictable in every way. Plus, slasher movies are not horror movies. |

I came here to say that too. A Serbian film is crazy. I never saw it, but I was messed up for like a week after reading the Wikipedia page. I know someone who saw it and they said the description didn't do I justice.

If that's the one about young women who are killed for blood or for cannibalism, that is what satanists do. A scene was painted on a bldg in Europe.

Banshee is the most violent TV show I've ever seen.
We're on S4 E6 ... the frickin' serial killer season. Holy shit with the dude with horns. |

Ive seen a few Fake Hostel movies.
They didnt scare me, in fact, it made me want to go look for a gal stuck somewhere…. |
|
The Hostel series is pretty restrained for the subgenre of horror it is supposed to be in. Eli Roth is not a very good director. Cabin Fever, for instance, was dreadfully boring and near unwatchable. Hostel and its sequel have a few okay moments but nothing special. I never watched Hostel 3, which had a different director.
Now, I was really surprised at the mainstream reach Terrifier 2 achieved. That is actually the kind of gory torture-horror film that Hostel should have been. It's difficult to find a well-written AND unflinchingly raw horror film from any point in history and especially today. George Romero did alright early on. Tobe Hooper had a few interesting films. Rob Zombie only really did well on The Devil's Rejects. You have to look further underground to Lucio Fulci, Lamberto Bava, pre-LOTR Peter Jackson and others to get true gore horror masterpieces. Watch The Beyond, Re-Animator, Dead Alive, The Dead Next Door, Leif Jonker's Darkness (Final Cut) for some less tame takes on the category. |
