| All I can say is WoW! I've never seen so much horse Power shoe-horned into so many cars in one place, ever. This event is a speed junkies fantasy dream come true. If you didnt go, you missed out, words cannot describe the hundreds of awesome street machines that were in attendance. My personal favs were the Nickey Camaro and the Holden Commodore as well as every one of the Rat Rods. Ten years I was supposed to have my Olds ready for the '03 Power Tour when they last came through here. Well it still is not ready but I definitely got some great ideas to take my car farther then I had originally planned. |

LoL
So many dreamers in the hotrod stuff. For every usable, driving, actually-on-the-street semi fast vehicle, there are 500 "projects" that just never happen. I used to get made fun of for having "only" 450hp in my 454SS. Thing is, while it isn't the fastest, or the coolest, or the baddest ass, its been on the street year in year out for 23 years. Id bet Ive had more fun using it than lots of guys have had talking about how bad their own ride is, on stands in the garage |

I know what ya mean there, from '79 - '99 I built a half dozen cars, several of which were quite interesting but not real show{y}. All my buds had countless projects sitting around during this time and I cannot think of one that ever got wrenched on. My dad taught me how to work on cars so the mechanical stuff is no problem. I even paint and do minor body work. Well, I made a mistake and purchased a '71 Cutlass, identical to my high school car, back in '02 without giving it much thought. It turns out that it was going to require mucho sheet metal repair of which I wanted to have done first before I started work on the running gear although I did get the rear end rebuilt with gears/posi and I did some frame straightening and other freshening up under the rear of the car. Other hobbies got in the way though and I kept putting the car on the back burner until 15 months ago when I finally drove the car (shell) down to a local body shop. Hopefully it will be done in the next month so I can get to work on it. |

We joined in the run from Harriman down to MD it was my 71 Challenger, a buddies 70 Challenger Vert, a 71 Charger & My 66 Dart (before I owned it) some of the cars that were on the Long Haul were amazing I dont know why they have not done another "Power Tour East" as the number of guys that showed was fantastic |
