About 10? years ago Unkie Sam was surplussing off tons of Mil gloves. I had a vendor I bought from that got scores of never used, still with the tag attached gloves. Bought tons of them for $5 a set. Handed out a bunch to the nephews for Christmas and kept about 25 sets for myself. Those days are gone, all that there is left is ratty worn out ones for .......... $5 a set still.
I looked up what some of them originally cost, OUCH!!! Especially the cold weather one's. Glad I grabbed several new sets of the shooting finger mittens also with the wool liners. Look stupid, work great in Michigan. |

I have 3 pairs of Mechanix gloves.
Short finger Impact in black Full finger Impact in multicam Super thin full finger in black I have a separate plate carrier setup in each black and multicam and keep the Impacts in each and the thin gloves stay in my trunk gun bag just in case I need to operate.  Attached File |

I have Mechanix gloves on Amazon subscribe and save.
Am a contractor who plays with cars for fun. Do admit I have a brand new pair sitting on top of my safe in the event of big igloo.

I get terrible sunburns on my hands, so I'm never very far from a pair of gloves. I bought a pair of PIG years ago and need to get another, for shooting they have very good dexterity and cover my sunburny hands very well.

Really surprised at all these ‘zero’ responses. I didn’t think owning a few pairs of tactical gloves was really all that tryhard. They’re pretty useful, and I thought they were fairly standard gear to have.

 SKD are my favorites, followed by a Camelback pair. Oakley's have sat in a drawer for years. |

Mine are all mechanix and I wear them weed eating, working on my cars etc. Every pair l I have I got a couple years ago at Meijer on clearance and LAPG..
I don't think one pair cost me more than $10bucks..some were $5. I'm cheap..ish.. I will say the Velcro gets old and I cut it off on 2 pairs to basically make them the fast fit type... Fast fits have elastic at the wrist though which I do find "better". Edit..OP should change title to just gloves.. Then ski gloves will come up probably eventually. |

Several. Oakleys, Knucklebusters, Mechanix, Outdoor Research, Wiley X, Hatch...
Suffice to say, I've had a lot of 'em. Most wore out pretty quick, or were unwieldy as shit. I've had a LOT of mechanix gloves, they're hard to beat for the price. The Knucklebusters are like a copy of a much older Oakley glove, I think... $25 and they last forever, I got a hand-me-down pair that were well over five years old, and they lasted me a good three or four years. Newest set I've had for two, three years, now? They take a bitchin' long time to break in and they're alright for a rifle, but forget shooting a pistol in them, even Oakley Pilot gloves suck ass for handguns. Hands down, the best gloves for handling a weapon, rifle or pistol, are the Maxiflex Ultimate/Endurance. ~$5 a pair, lots of options for dip coverage, and they are the only glove that is still comfortable when wet. ETA: SKD PIG gloves, the originals, didn't last for shit. Didn't fit great, either. Heard the FR ones are awesome. Nomex flight gloves were alright, but tend to fall apart pretty quick. $40 a pair, too. Tried on a couple pairs of Magpul tech gloves, they seemed decent quality. The Breach gloves are supposed to be pretty damn good, but hard to find, now. I ordered a pair on clearance for $35 last year, but they were never delivered. |
