Single hung.  I forget the brand but it was "xyz by Anderson" circa 2009-10.

I see no lever or anything.  If I try cocking it sideways it just binds.  There is a screw on either side on the bottom of the sash.

What's up in that oval hole on the bottom?  What does the top look like?

Can't see or feel anything in there.

To be clear, I can tilt it out.  Just can't get it off the weights and out of the track

Ah, gotcha.  When you tilt it to get it out, have you tried both ways?  You said it jammed, but did you lift one side, or push one side down?  It may make a difference.  The angle you have the window leaned in probably matters, too.  I other words, try everything.  Good luck.

Get it parallel with the floor and then twist it out of the  balances, they will spring upward.

What kind of crap is that?

My older sash vinyl windows have little tabs you pull out of the mechanisms that catch the window as you pull the window up. From there you can remove the window and the mechanism.

Reverse the process to reinstall.

I've tried pretty much every angle.   Everything just seems to bind.

I'm worried if I take out those screws underneath the ropes will come off and never get back on

Lol

5 seconds into it "give your sash a twist".  That's where I'm stuck.

Open about 3 inches above the bottom "lip" of the window.

Should be two slide tabs up top.  One on each side.

Slide both tabs towards the center of the window, that should free you to be able to rotate the window/pull it in towards yourself.  (The tabs won't stay in the middle position and you'll have to do this in 1 motion using both hands.)

Once the window is at a 90° towards you, you can lift each side a bit.  (One side at a time.)

That should disengage the two "T" tabs.  (One on each side one at a time).

Once the tabs are disengaged and out of their designated rotating locking "pockets/slots" you should be able to lift the while window out.

Sorry if that's confusing as fuck.  But hope it helps.

Eta: actually my instructions were for a Pella style window.

I did find this though.  Might help.
