That looks like it might hurt.  Would be interesting to see what kind of volts and amps it has.

I wonder how someone could measure that/compare it to a modern stun gun...

A month or so ago, someone posted about a school kid who got expelled for taking one of those to school.

I can tell you from experience (about 5 or so experiences, actually), that it will not "take down a full grown man". While it does hurt like a bitch, I would compare it to perhaps what one might feel if someone were to pinch you extremely quickly ( and fairly tightly) with a pair of needle-nose pliers.

Uncomfortable, yes.
Incapacitating? No.

About 12 years ago I had a camera that broke so I took it apart.  I was fooling around with something that looked like a battery (I guess it stored energy for the flash).  Any how I touched a wire or something on there and it shocked the piss out of me so bad I had a headache.  It didnt have any batteries in it at the time so Im guessing it stored some juice in there.  Needless to say I dont touch that shit anymore.

That's how I know from experience. I fix electronics for a living ,and do a high volume of cameras. The capacitor for the flash will occasionalybite if you don't notice the terminals whilst disassembling the unit...

You aren't kidding.  When I was in high school we took apart some disposable cameras with a flash, then sparked it off on the door knob when someone was coming in the door.  It left an arc gouge in the door knob on our side.
