I do the same with my Sony Ericsson W810i (purchased from my service provider back when it was still Cingular; I don't believe the mfr even makes parts/accessories for it anymore). It works "good enough." Better than Lite, anyway. Opera rocks. I think GoatBoy is just waiting for cell phone tech to pass Lite by. It won't be long. |

Ha! It's on the list, but been moving slowly down the list. There will be an upgrade to the lite version as well as a more dressed up lite version. This way we'll have the compact, mid size, and the full size. With current gas prices, I suggest the compact, but wouldn't be caught dead in anything less than a full size. On the bright side, the interwebs probably run on alternate fuels.

I know it's not a Treo, but is it Windows Mobile based? If so, you might want to read this. ETA: FWIW, you're not the first to have Opera issues on a Centro: link01 link02 There's a pretty disappointing exchange at this cached Google page here, but at least they tell you the progs/filenames needed. Also, as the blurb at the bottom of this page says, you must have the correct version of Java Micro Environment (JME) installed. I think this might be a link to the correct version. [eta2: not anymore] |
I think the majority of browsers to accessit will be Opera Mini and the BlackBerry Browser |
