Very cool.  "Bradley Lewis" has a nice military ring to it.  Smart to stick to NCO, too!

It's amazing--and heartening--  what people will do for the disadvantaged. These soldiers MADE HIS DAY! And... he made THEIRS!

This is the line that gets me,“I just wanted to serve God and country. I wanted to make President Bush proud,” Lewis said.

Just the whole innocents of it. It's such a pure statement.

That is simply great. He's done more for his country than any number of people.

That story brought a tear to my eye. I really wish that the mainstream media would run stories like this on a more regular basis.

Me too.  I enjoyed the story right up till that point.  Not knocking the kid, but making the President proud ain't on my list of priorities.  Still holds true to this day, but I did join the Navy in '98 (Clinton)...

I'm happy he got his wish, and am quite impressed with the real soldiers who made it happen.

I doubt that would be a good thing since I can think of about a dozen ways that could be spun in a negative fashion.  I'm sure the fucktards at DU would have a field day with it too...

[DU-phucktard] He will go out and hurt someone now. Why did they have to teach him about bayonets, those things were banned until Bush permitted assault weapons again. But I guess there really isn't much difference between this guy and the people they recruit for real and send to kill innocent Iraqi's [/DU-phucktard]
