| Do you have a scbematic that shows what wires are what? If so, ohm out the windings (both start and run) They should read around 2-3 ohms. That rules out if they are open or shorted. That motor has a centrifugal switch also. It should be engaged (or closed) right now. It opens up at speed. |

| OP, I'm gonna make a somewhat educated guess here (from best I can tell from your pic). I'm thinking the black wire supplies current to your motor. The grey and yellow go to your heater, white is neutral and green is ground. The grey and yellow would be on the normally open contacts of your centrifugal switch. Once the switch opens the on the motor circuit, it closes on the heater circuit. |

Yeah I'm here. Mom (fighting cancer) had to go back to ER last night so I was distracted.
I think that black switch is likely the issue. The coils have continuity (although i didn't notice the resistance). I was hoping to figure out where to supply power to check the motor/switch combo before I order one for $90. |

See if you can finger the centrifugal switch. Check continuity on grey and yellow wires (or at their terminals) before and after. If grey and yellow wires show continuity after you finger the centrifugal switch, then the black and white wires are going to be your power for the motor. |
