Personally, I support my furry neighbors. Why just this morning I poured out an entire jar of peanuts onto the deck for them to enjoy. I also have squirrel-friendly bird feeders.

Tell me how you feel.

See, I could see myself getting upset at them tearing up my attic, but they can be persuaded to stay away with other means.

Squirrels are good for the ambience of the yard anyways.

Front sight, squeeze bang repeat.  My favorite deer stand is in a holler that is filled with oak trees.  On a fall day when the acorns are on the ground, it's not uncommon to have 6 squirrels in view at one time.

I think they are adorable.  My dad in FL has squirrels that will take peanuts right out of your hand.  It is so cute.  When my memaw and pepaw lived at that house the squirrels would even run in the door to take a peanut out of my memaws hand.  It seemed as if the adult squirrels let the babies know it was okay to do and for the last 12 years squirrels have been hand fed peanuts in that yard.

Ground squirrels = rat with bushy tail.

My year-old cat took an adult grey squirrel in summer '07. She and her kittens have been ridding the neighborhood of greys ever since (some of them end up in our house as gifts). We have received many thanks from our neighbors.

Our cats have taken more squirrels than I have. Better eyesight, I guess...

As my family grows pecans, which squirrels will destroy, they have always been 'shoot on sight' for us.

But then, so have rattlesnakes...

Treacherous and evil pine weasels.  They are a deadly foe...a underestimated quarry that has spelled the doom for many ignorant hunters.  I have declared jihad so that I might enjoy them in my yummy gravy with biscuits.

I don't feed them because they have lots to eat here, and don't kill them unless they get into attic, so they are an emergency food source to be harvested when needed.
