| I mean, besides abdicating one's principles down to the level of a gutter rat, how does one go about doing that? Does anyone have any experience doing so? |

Local, state, or federal level? In any event, there's a board of elections that's relevant to your locale. Most likely it can be found by a simple Google search. For federal level candidacy, you have to file a financial statement, fill out some forms, and submit a candidate registration fee, plus register your political campaign organization as well. There has to be solid bookkeeping and accounting and oversight of the whole operation in order to ensure that no campaign laws (including campaign finance laws) are violated. |

State level, I'm thinking. Thanks for the info! |
