I have some grass seed that I purchased last spring.  I am just wondering how long it should last and if it will be good to go.  If it makes a difference, it was stored in my garage all year.  I live in the desert so it was exposed to relatively low humidity levels.

Obviously, I don't want to go to all the hassle of seeding and watering if most of it will not sprout.

Thanks

I sowed some seed at work that had sat around for a few years in the storage shed. It grew. YMMV.

I have used seed that is several years old. Remember, grass seed may lay fallow for years in some parts of the world before it germinates. Droughts are a common occurrence in many parts of the world there  will always be seeds that germinate after one. Even with hybrids most of it should germinate for years

I just planted seed that was bought and used last year, left open in the garage all winter. Took a week, but it germinated.
