How many on here just bitch about what's going on or do you take action, any action. I call my congressman and write him at least 2x a month, sometimes more. If nothing else, it let's him know someone actually pays attention. Here is my last letter;
Dear Mr. Wexler, First I think it important for me to express my extreme disappointment in your voting yes on the stimulus bill. I can't believe we are going back to paying young unwed women to have babies again. Maybe you didn't read that part because you definitely didn't have time to read the entire bill. What would you do if the big three bring you a business plan with penciled notes all over it. I think you would have another dog and pony show where you could berate the execs. (I am not defending them)with a national audience to make yourself look like big man on campus. Well, how responsible are you and the rest of the Dems (I am a registered Independent voter) for putting together a sloppy plan like this stimulus. Repealing the Clinton welfare reforms is not stimulus, it's just another way for you to buy votes. This stimulus is the biggest "pay for play" ever. You guys are hypocrites. Now you are out there trying for new gun control legislation. My God, I am starting to think the Constitution is nothing more than a doormat at the entrance to the House. Stop voting to fit in with the Democrats and start voting like an American. If you can't start getting straight with your constituints, then maybe I am going to run against you, because let me tell you now, you have many many people that know whats going on and they will not forgive you.
