How many of you are from Oregon? What part of Oregon? I'm in Portland when I'm out of school and in Klamath Falls while I'm in school Dan |
Gunrunnr, too bad you got to MC after they took down the "Warning: these streets patrolled by the Vigilantes for Justice" signs. I about pissed in my pants laughing. My G/F was convinced that it was the Klan or something. Hang around a little bit, there should be a drug bust across from the Post Office. TOBIN, it seems like a fact of life: You will not find snow where the job market is decent. I still like the Inland Empire better than the coast, but damned if I can work back in there. Southern Oregon is pretty awesome, but again work is sparser. |
Quoted: Medford. BTW: August 26th will be "Rosy's Cantina" 3 gun match here in medford. At the jackson county sports park off of hwy 140. Cost @ $10.00 Come on down for some three gun fun I shoot at the Jackson County Sports Park about once a month. My bro still lives in White City. Maybe I'll make it down for the shoot! |
Quoted: Quoted: I list Myrtle Creek as my residence, but I am actually from Harlem NY. ala FAT ABBOT "Yeah BITCH, like a school in summertime! I oughta bust a cap in 'yo ass!" "I oughta b-b-bust a-a cap in y-y-yo ass too!" I have been in Myrtle Creek the last two weekends. I'll be damned... I have been there the last 3 weekends. Small world. Quoted: Big 3 day expo show in november! What is it? 1500 tables? I love those shows... Anyone a member of Tri County? _ FS Memberships to Tri-County gun club are accepted on the second Wednesday of every month. I was going to go today, but remembered it was my anniversary! OMG! Needless to say, I had other things on my mind. I've been there, great facilities. I have a hard time with the fees though. But decided they'd be worth it considering the number of times I'd like to shoot per year. I like those bigger shows as well. Good place to accessorize [:D]. |
Great idea, but the only range I visit frequently is in Southern Oregon. Hey Rick, you can bring in 5 guests right? Been wanting to try out that 600 yard range. Damned, maybe I'll cough up the cash next month. I'm gonna try "Aviators" Battle Ground range since it's not very far. BTW.... I think I know where your "secret" surfin' place is [:D] |
Clark Rifles in Battle Ground Is AR friendly. They charge $7 a day to shoot there for non members. They have 100 yard rifle, 50 yard pistol, and 300 yard rifle ranges. All the ranges are covered, porta potties and handicap ramps to the firing positions. The range house has a fridg with pop in it and a wood stove. Any of you want to go shooting there sometime let me know and we can meet up and head out. Aviator |
| I'm in Washington, but am moving to Oregon next summer, looks like Redmond at this point. I've gone to the full auto shoot in Albany, and Bend. I'll be at the Albany shoot again in December! I drop about $200.00 when I go, but for me its money very well spent! |
I live in Albany. I belong to the local club and also to the Estacada gun club. Lots of places to shoot. Albany has a High Power match October 20th. (100 yard reduced) In December, Estacada has the annual 1000 aggregate off hand match. The cross the course matches are down until March or April. If you get to Bend, there is a nice range there. They feature a 1000 yard range, I believe. During the season, Douglas Ridge, in Eagle Creek, in the Portland area has a full schedule for High Power, including cross the course and long range. Hope this helps, John |

I live in Tigard and spend my time at the Tri-County Gun club in Sherwood. Check out the website at http://www.tcgc.org. My favorite event is the Practical Rifle matches that are held at the gravel pit next to the range on the second Saturday of every month. There are 2 LEGP's used there now. Check out the website at www.practicalrifle.com. I'm up for a shoot. Spambo |
I'm from Tigard, and for all I know right across the street from spambo. I've been meaning to try out TriCounty, but don't know any member to take me as a guest. Spambo, if you're ever need a shooting buddy, let me know. Heck, I could probably even go Saturday! Anyway, nice to see so many Oregonians on the board. I'll save this thread so I'll know who to call on when the SHTF. [):)] |
| I need to join a club and live about the same distance from tri county and douglas ridge . Anyone have an opinion on what club is better ( if one is better than the other ) it is just getting to be a long drive to go out in the woods and find a place to shoot.I am available with some advance notice most any time weekdays or weekends . |
Ted, (NMSight) if you wish meeting you at the range can be no problem. Not this Saturday, as I had surgery last Friday. Other than that, send me an e-mail. alfajim, I shoot at both Tri-County and Douglas Ridge. In some ways, Tri-County is nicer, but Douglas Ridge has a better High Power schedule. Just beware of shooting Bambi. (at the last match, 4 or 5 crossed the 200 yard line) Hopefully, I will make the Fort Lewis Regional next year. (I'll be retired, thank the Lord - at least if my wife says o.k.) John H Osterholm |
