I don't get sick. Ever. On the very rare occassions that I do, illnesses that normally wipe people out for a week or two make me feel like crap for two days and then I'm fine. On the other hand, I suffer from year-round allergies and barely have a sense of smell, so I guess it balances out. |
sock it to him...me too just starting numb nuts came home with it last week after slobbering all over the place he gave it to me....| Twice! Once in early November and right now I'm getting over a second bout. Goin to see the doctor tonight for a follow up. He's cool I just say I'm getting sick and he'll send over a prescription and I pick it up on the way home and get a follow up apointment the next week. |

No hijack intended, but I just got over a simple cold that lasted 2 weeks! I have been noticing around the office and amongst friends and family that people seem to be getting sick and staying that way for weeks and weeks. I clearly remember a time when a cold lasted a few days and a bad case of the flu would be gone in 7 days or less. I think the bugs are all getting nastier and we are all getting less able to deal with them. Hope this isn't a preview of things to come.... |
| not only have I had the friggin' plague, but it's been making the rounds at my house. I got it, my daughter caught it from me. My wife caught it (from one of us, but I'll say it was from my daughter...I already took a load of shit for bringing it home in the first place)....now, I have it AGAIN! It's the gift that keeps on giving! |

i FINALLY got some vacation time the last two weeks of December. what happens, i got sick, it was a cold, sore throat, type of deal. well, after 4 weeks of fighting this 'bug', i'm finally feeling better. Lori (wife and now EX-PASTRY chef) had it too. wonderful. both of us sick at the same time. i went to my doctor and he said half the dr.'s on staff are out and after he saw me, he was going home too. we both got well just in time for me to use up my vacation time and Lori to go back to school. wonderful. i hope everyone is felling better. it just takes a LONG time. be well maxwell |

It begs to ask, but how many of the very sick this winter, are skinny, run all the time, and eat veggies only? I personally know one of these "healthy" ones who made two trips to the emergency room this year, once in the meat wagon. It has been at least 5 years since I was sick for even a day, and have never missed work. Maybe it is the pie......... |
