[ARCHIVED THREAD] - How much for socks

We got on this topic at work today. I told them I pay 15 dollars for a pair of socks, they said I was crazy I told them they were nice Danner socks I have about 7 pair. What can I say I like comfort. I will always pay for good socks and boots.

I wear SmartWool socks. They run $10-$20 per pair I guess. They are great and totally worth it. People told me for years that once I bought a nice pair I wouldn't go back.

My socks are in the bulk pack at Wal-Mart and Target. Forget exactly how much, but it's cheap.

I do have running socks that cost $8 a pair. They don't give me blisters when I run big mileage. Seems extravagant to me to spend more especially on socks for just walking around in. Cheap cotton will do.

I buy them by the bag at Sams. I take half and my son takes half. When our toes come out the end I get another bag. I think the bag is around $10.

Thorlos are the best ones I have. Need to get some more of something. Either Thorlos or Smartwool.
