I don't like to use bluetooth headphones because I start having muscle spasms and weird tingling sensations.
I'm not sure if this is just a psychosomatic response resulting from my apprehensiveness towards bluetooth devices, or if it's actually the bluetooth device infettering with my neurology and irradiating me. When I use bluetooth headphones on the go or at the gym, my phone really heats up in my pocket. Really makes me nervous about having all these transmissions down there near the goods. How safe is this technology anyway? |

It's putting out much lower power than your cell phone. The frequencies are very similar to cell phone freqs. I think it's safer than your iPotato. |

Your phone is heating up due to CPU usage. Its not bluetooth causing heating. Most bluetooth transmitters are 2.5 milliwatt. Thats 0.0025 watts. Supposedly there are 100mw transmitters but I don't think they are common place. Its still a very small amount of power. Wifi is commonly around 50-100mw of transmit power.
Cell phones, while they vary, put out 500mw of power. |

I am not a RF expert. My concern is how these things are tested (individually). Your cell phone won't harm you. Your BlueTooth won't harm you, etc.
But, how about the RF from your cell phone, plus 14 other nearby cell phones, the AM/FM/TV/FRS/GFRS/CBs and RF from 1,001 satellites at the same time? |

No their not. It's 2.4 Ghz, same as a microwave oven and wireless access points. But it is such low power as to not be concerned. |

LMAO this was my first thought after reading the OP.

It turned me into a newt. ETA, I should read the whole thread before posting but at least I got the quote right Also, OP, if were real and psychosomatic, you would have problems every time you were close to someone with Bluetooth, next to some ones car etc. (Now you will have those problems.) |
