Drudge Report drives me absolutely BONKERS! That web page refreshes about once per minute. Even Foxnews updates too fast for my liking.
In prior versions of Internet Explorer, there was a user/client side control for when and if a web page gets updated. I am under the impression Microsoft took that control away from the client and the web page owner now controls the refresh rate. Is there a client side control for how frequently a web page refreshes/updates? I'd be happy if I could just stop it and use manual refresh. |

This says it's how to do it in IE. I haven't tried it as I don't use IE. I hate Drudge's auto refresh.
http://www.ehow.com/how_7260358_stop-pages-auto-refreshing.html I just installed this for Firefox. I'll see how it works. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/refreshblocker/ |

What is noscript? I've ever heard of it. Is it a safe application/extension? Quoted:

DrudgeReport.com does not use the standard HTML refresh commands; it uses javascript. To stop it from refreshing, you will need to turn off javascript support for that site. |
