| I have these little ladybugs everywhere in the house. No matter how many I kill they come back. Anybody have any advice how to get rid of them? |

They are voracious predators. They must be eating mites or aphids or something. They are probably hatching out from Fall egg masses laid inside the house. Just vacuum them and let them go outside alive. They won't return. I agree with everything except the red part. |

I had some kind of beetle in my house that resembled a lady bug but were a different color. Turns out it was some kind of Elm beetle that was killing the surrounding trees. I guess they came into the house during the winter. Sprayed the trees and they were gone. |

Cats. Ladybugs are supposed to taste bad. Every cat I've owned that ate one, thinking it might be tasty, immediately gave the ick-face and never went after them after that. We had an infestation when I was a kid. All I remember my stepdad doing was taking a vacuum cleaner to them and that was it. |

I'm willing to bet the OP doesn't have lady bugs, but the other orange bugs which are all the rage these days. I hate them. I also have a theory that they could be competing with the lightening bug and causing their numbers to decline. Seems like I read somewhere that orange ladybugs are bad and have some sort of allergen. OTOH, red ladybugs are good. OTOOH, I might have been drunk. Who the hell kills ladybug anyway? They are up there with Preying Mantises for natural pest control.

Here is an article about them. |

We get them every other year or so, vacuum and carry outside. Normaly not that bad though. I thought it was bad luck to kill them, atleast a myth I remember from childhood. Same for crickets. I have seen mesh boxes with thousands of lady bugs being shipped through the Hub. Always freaks the loaders when they realize its a "live" box. |

The are not lady bug/bonus they bite also
I have been battling for years. They lay eggs deep in walls. |
| I buy ladybugs for my garden as they are great for pests like aphids. I have a ladybug house that I put them in. Most will fly off but some will stay to have eggs. When I buy them I get about 20,000 and release them over time and slowly build my colony. You can keep them dormant by putting the rest in a fridge. Their larvae are voracious eaters of aphids, as many as 100 per day. I use a number of chemical alternatives to prevent pests in my garden like bats, copper and certain flowers. If it's a really bad year then I'll go chemical but only as a last resort and then very sparingly. I don't get them inside the house so if you have them, chances are that they are finding stuff to eat, i.e. other insects. |
| They are not real Ladybugs. They are lady beatles that were mistakenly put here from China and spread like crazy because their natural predators do not exist here. They live and hide in huge numbers under siding, soffit, shingles etc. and come out when the temp. is warm. There is no way to get rid of all of them.Squish them, vacuum them and bug spray them and learn to live with the rest. |

Well said. Learn to live with those stinking, sorry, biting mother fuckers. I tore a wall out and thousands of dead ones = A fuck load a baby ones. Fire would be the only way to get rid of them.

The red ladybugs are good.
The orange Asian ladybugs that swarm all over the South and West sides of houses in the fall and live under the siding all winter are foul creatures from Hell. They bite, they stink, and the close proximity of them makes my eyes inflamed and itchy. I'm not allergic to anything else, but those vermin are TOXIC to me... I hate them with a passion. Stupid, greedy soybean growers imported them on purpose to control some stupid aphid or something. I hate stupid, greedy soybean growers as well... |
