Latest Euro shows bumps west but a pressure system could keep this thing in open water. Mid Atlantic states could be in play.

CAT 4 is much worse than rain and wind.  It literally destroys lives.

It looks like it'll stay in the Atlantic for now, but then again so did Irma and the initial forecast looked eerily close to this one.

Definitely one to watch. This thing has so much warm water ahead of it. Going to me much wider than Idalia.

There was a Tropical Storm Lee in 2011 that caused a ton of flooding across the eastern US. This one can get fucked.

It is how they get their drinking water. The majority of their fresh water is rainwater collected through the runoff from roofs and stored in underground cisterns. Hurricanes and Tropical Storms are good things for 'em.

Tell us you don't understand the difference between a Tropical Storm and a CAT4 Hurricane without telling us you don't understand the difference between a Tropical storm and a CAT4 Hurricane.

To put in perspective how incredibly stupid what you just said was:  It's like telling someone in the path of a tidal wave that they "might feel a little bit of moisture in a minute".

Well... so long as the hurricane isn't too strong and doesn't hit them square on.

Yes, and preceded by Irene a week before.  A lot of flash flooding damage from both of them.  Question is; can these weather alarmist twats not even come with new names?  Lee was a significant storm and only 12 years ago, are there no other “L” names left??

Don't get hung up on the short range models, look at the longer range one's. Many models predict a turn to the north, or north east. The timing is, if that happens and when. There are many factors that can influence this storm and its too early to predict with any certainty if it will be pulled into the east coast or the north east.

More track models here showing a turn north/north east:

Once again, no they don't.

All you are posting are the short term "gloom & doom" graphics that the local news shows "sell."

Take a look at the actual models to see what they are predicting.

Let's hope so.  The last time I was there, Bermuda was hoping for a big hurricane.  Those are the only natural source of fresh water on the island.  The houses are hurricane proof with cisterns to catch the rain.

While I understand people get tired of those that use weather events as a means to pass their agenda, I think it is still better to know about the possibility of a significant hurricane forming than not.

It's better to be prepared and anticipate a bad storm than to brush it off and be underprepared if it does make landfall in the US.
