These type of videos are pretty awesome. Can't imagine how time consuming it is to film and edit these.

I'm not seeing LA burn to the ground in the video.

Seriously very cool though.

Edit: I left and went to the missing buttons topic,
tried the refresh button as I was also missing the fast scroll to top button.
Came back to here and had the video

There are dozens of great folks who live there man

Gotta say, LA and Hollywood were my least favorite parts of my trip out west.

And staying at a hostel in Hollywood was definitely the weirdest part of my trip.

There are iOS apps that make those very easy. One is actually called Hyperlapse. The other is a paid app called oh snap.

While reading today's volcano thread, I found this fellow's timelapse website.

Having personally rucked hundreds of pounds of my own gear to some of the very same locations he used for his shoots, I can appreciate the maniacal effort he must put into capture.

That video was cool though.  No idea how they did the zoom jumps. Neat effect.

instagram has a hyperlapse app that uses the phones motion sensors to stabilize the video, which works pretty well.  the real deal 3d image processing and converting deal is a whole other animal.  probably cheaper to just run a gimble.

my buddy borrowed a handheld gimble for this trip and we took most of the moving shots with the gopro in it.
