Goes with the hard starched jungle fatigues.

Thank you.  I was in a bad mood and then you reminded me of something to be thankful for.

Yeah, we were authorized to wear those when I was in the guard, but when I was RA, it was OD cotton and black leather boots. Also prior to the fancy schmancy plastic web belt buckles. We had the metal loop buckles you had to touch up with black paint every once in awhile.

Also, my M16s didn't have brass deflectors on them (I was issued several over the years)

The Catholics have days honoring specific saints, or used to. I haven't been a practicing Catholic for awhile, so I can't bring them to mind, ATM. I'm sure there are more current Catholics on the board who can help you out.

Yes the jimmy dore show is super left wing. That current guest host hates Israel and aggressively sucks off Palestine and Hamas. I watched both those videos before being posted here. If anyone wants to be upset over the Palestinians situation , blame all the Muslim countries who refuse to recognize them as refugees and let them into their countries. Instead, the countries keep telling the Palestinians to hold tight, Israel will be gone any day now. 80 yrs later, here we are, Israel is going no where and the surrounding countries are selfish dicks.

Still have my first issued boots - DMS. They were ankle height....and worn with WW1 style wrap around puttees!!

Anyway - back to the main feature:

No offense, but you do know the 2qt began service in the 60s, right?

It's where the infantry goes when it's raining.

That may be, but I never saw one in RA, either. First one I ever saw was after I joined the guard in the '80s.
