Honestly, physically that is the spitting image of one that was in my family.  Ours still had decorative paint accents and a natural scene on the front but really the same safe.

Pretty sure ours was a Victor - IIRC late 1800s date.

Can anyone give me an approximate year as to when it was made? I pick up tomorrow and will post more pics then, this pic is from the website. Comes with combination. Measures 20x21x31.

I swear to Jesus thats the safe from our Kodiak telecommunications warehouse.  If its not, its the twin of it.  Same roller wheels and everything.  We got rid of it when we changed locations.  It just sat open for years.

My goal is to dress up a male mannequin inside like Clark Kent, with dress shirt opening to show superman costume underneath.

If Superman doesn't work out, you can put Sonny in there.

Here she is, just got her home. 2 men were unsuccessful at lifting this bitch, so they loaded it up with a forklift. I'll have to unload it with my engine hoist. 4 digit combo, dial spins freely and opened right up. Unfortunately she was empty. Pretty small inside considering the exterior dimensions.

Who needs friends when you've got equipment? This fucker has to weigh 400 lbs or more. My truck was squatting a couple inches with it towards the rear of the bed.

Work smarter, not harder. Has come in handy for more than just engines.
Had to replace the plumbing on the underside of this spray rig before I could mount it to a utility trailer. I wasn't very comfortable underneath that thing

That one is a little rough, but I think i I can clean it up. Hinges are good and tray is in good shape. I pick them up from the auction whenever I can find a deal. I paid 25 bucks for it. Can probably sell it for 60 bucks or more once I clean it up.

Here's another that I have in my personal collection that I probably won't sell as it's in really good shape

Apparently these don't have much value??? I've got a buddy that runs a thrift store. He had 2 that he gave me. I painted/cleaned one if them up. Now holds blankets at foot of our antique bed.

Yep.You have to find the right buyer, but I've sold some for 100 bucks. Most rough ones I sell for between 40 and 60 bucks. I try not to pay over 30 for them, but I never buy something that I'm not ok with keeping.

I was going to post this as well.  Many of these old safes were booby trapped.  Some with just teargas, others with more nefarious stuff.

Nope, nothing cool under that panel. Just a couple people's initials carved into the cement.

It's not badass and wasn't cheap. But it is really old, and I have an affinity for old junk. I might can sell it for a profit, but I'm happy to keep it and use it as a base for a coffee table or something.
