I need a Shot Timer. NOT an APP! > General Discussion

First, a shameless plug for my shooting Challenge I just set up.

Second, I need something better than the kitchen timer I'm using now. I give up about 2 seconds after starting and I allowed those with shot timers to start at the first shot.

So what say ye, arfcom?

Recommendations?

Oh, and no phone apps...I don't own a phone.

These are good.
I think there's a sensitivity adjustment for subsonic rounds inside.

I have a CED Pocket Pro II that I use for USPSA. Simple to use, can be configured for what you need.

I like the CED7000 for personal use. It's small and easy to use.

The Pact is going to be a better choice if you want to be familiar with what they use at most competitions.

Club timer or pocket pro. The newer pocket pro seems to have a better beep to me, louder and lower frequency.
Both are better than a app

CED is better for using alone, Pact is what most matches use

No problem at all, it has a decent display and once you get it figured out it's very easy to use. I even use it when I practice in my garage with airsoft on nasty weather days.

Take your change to a coin sorter and get an Amazon gift certificate (no fee). I had enough to add a few bucks and get a great timer.

For shot timer also take a look into Commander from AMG Lab, will easily detect striker/hammer fall in dry fire, 3 par times, full integration into Practiscore via Bluetooth, AAAs and more.

Competition electronics pocket pro its what the clubs around here use for USPSA. Pretty foolproof and self explanatory. Reasonably rugged and fairly affordable.

I use Par times as a target for first shot...but that wouldn't be CED-specific

I use one of those. Had it for about that long, too. At the time it was the least expensive thing going. Today I would probably buy the small CED for about the same money.
