Quoted: That's a good question. I don't think it is, but maybe someone better informed and experiencing the issue can figure it out. My trigger that's experiencing it hasn't been tested since it was swapped to another firearm. Quoted: Quoted: So is the bursts hammer follow? That's a good question. I don't think it is, but maybe someone better informed and experiencing the issue can figure it out. My trigger that's experiencing it hasn't been tested since it was swapped to another firearm. No. The system is hard on the various parts, whacking them around. The fact it needs an A2 buffer means the strike force of a BCG and Carbine buffer with a full spring, isn't enough to reliably slam everything where it needs to be. What that means is your various parts get peened. From the detent, to the tail of the trigger that gets whacked, to the hammer and trigger and secondary sear. For the people who are getting semi-auto burst fire, that's a combination of their trigger tail being peened, but also you can get hammer sear wear and peaning, fairly quickly, resulting in binary fire as well. People act like the Super Safety's are Just as good. I'm not so sure. maybe not so much vs the trigger cassette systems like the Rare Breed. Some people make the Super Safety's work, partly because they only have run a few rounds through them, it takes several hundred for these things to show up. And partly because their system just works well enough the issues haven't shown up yet. But there's a reason you can buy detent packs and other replacement parts. Usage of these things is hard on the parts and your trigger parts. And they do break and wear and cause weird stuff like this from the peening and dimension changes. Then again, for $100 for basically legal-full-auto; there you go. But would I consider a SS an honest replacement for a harm's way duty usage Full-auto trigger? Not a chance, not right now at least. Maybe the rare-breed cassette system is better. |

Quoted: You really want to go for value. My "Squad Automatic" build went with Ballistic Advantage, with a heavy profile. It's .750 from the gas block forward, and .875 behind the gas journal. The barrel was in the 160 dollar range, I think. 18" to maintain good velocity. With a squad automatic, you're accepting a reduction in mobility. you shouldn't be planning to kick down doors with this. It's meant to put firepower on a target from a stable position, and it shines as a defensive weapon against light vehicles at medium range. Also, the rifle length gas substantially smooths out the recoil. I can easily keep bursts near targets at extreme 5.56 range. https://i.imgur.com/EsaoisH.jpeg" target="_blank">https://i.imgur.com/EsaoisH.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/kTgC9uj.jpeg" target="_blank">https://i.imgur.com/kTgC9uj.jpeg Quoted: Quoted: What kind of barrels are we using for these? I think its blue jean operator that talks about the IAR as something that can perform as a gp rifle if needed. In a 2am context we really can't be as specialized as the military. We need to do GP thing most of the time and then go forced reset only if needed. Quite honestly a 20" a2/a4 is plenty handy for practically any scenario besides vehicle ops. |

I moved the trigger to my M16A4-ish clone, since it's pretty much a range toy. |

That's certainly true, I'm just making a point about firepower vs mobility. The gun I posted, as configured, with a full 60 rounder, weighs 13.6 pounds. Suboptimal for door kicking. |

Its sad but true, none for you. I had it in my cart, entering some of my address info and tried to checkout, and it came back saying Sorry, we can't complete your checkout. It looks like the following product(s) are no longer available: AZR-15A1. Please remove these item(s) from your cart to continue with your order. SO maybe only had 3 on hand. |
