I stupidly allowed for a windows "update". What I didn't realize is that IE was going to add these damn "Tabs"...I hate it.

Is there any way to get rid of the Tabs toolbar besides going back to IE 6?

good question....it was on my laptop. I use Firefox on the desktop, I'm thinking I'll have to go with that if I can't get rid of this damn TAB toolbar.

Here's the cure for the massive suckage that is IE:

www.mozilla.com/en-US/

Tabbed browsing is easily turned on or off.  Like you, I hate tabs, but I hate IE even more.

Firefox loads pages MUCH faster than IE, too.

Click the Tools button, and select Internet Options.

Select the General tab

Go down to the Tabs section, click the Settings button.

Uncheck the Enable Tabbed Browsing check box.

Click OK to close the dialog box.

Click OK to close the Internet Options box.

Close and re-open Internet Explorer.

If you upgraded from IE 6 to IE 7, you should be able to do a software uninstall.  This is supposed to re-install IE6 as it was when you installed IE7.  Worked for me on XP.  Go to Microsoft and search for this.
