Looks out of spec.
Better cut it into 4 pieces with a band saw. __________________________________________________________________ Cross-platform gun database/electronic bound book (v1.3.2) (and the original thread). «nolite confidere in principibus, in filiis hominum quibus non est salus» |

Hmmm, have to see it after the build is complete. I do like the dowel pins and beveled mag well. Post pics once you build it out and report on the fit and finish. |

RCC1 has tons of pics of his rifles with these lowers. here I will steal one of his pics to show the after. http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn38/rccox/Guns/300%20Blackout/a8779b9dcd2af78f60c61657f9d5706e.jpg Pretty nice! |

not bad. for some reason a lot of people bitch about the seekins lowers, but its something different.
as far a LPK's goes it really doesn't matter much, these day's it seems like most manufacturer's are on par with each other. can't really tell the difference between my PSA lpk's and my Spikes. |

I am not sure if they are this type of lower. This is the gen 2 version as well. |

I used a PSA kit in mine and it worked just fine. Really you don't end up and use very much of the parts kit with everything Seekins includes already. Good luck with your build! Hope it turns out good. HERE is the link to mine. Just got my T-1 and TLR today and got it mounted about an hour ago. Now to go to work on my 300BLK and 6.5 Grendel |

I like your rifle. Do the pmag m3's work with it. The back rib worries me a bit |

This is the gen 2 version as well. the PSA issue is an insolated one. there was a thread on here a while back about someone having the problem and he seemed to be the only one. kinda seemed like either the lower was slightly out of spec, or the pins and mag release were a little big on that specific PSA lpk. overall most people have no problems with it. i've used 3 PSA lpk's so far with various lowers and they've all been great. a little CLP helps with the pins sometimes of course, but usually i can get it together without any. |

Went out last weekend and had a mag that wouldn't insert on a closed bolt. Wasn't thinking much about it at the time until I got home and read a thread with someone else having that same problem (don't think it was on a Seekins lower though) Loaded up an Emag tonight and was having some trouble when I would insert it fast but when I put slow, steady pressure it went just fine. Either way I don't think it's a lower issue because the stops weren't even close to lower but I'm going to get to the bottom of it tomorrow and will report back |

The tensioning screw deal is overrated. Yeah it takes the slop out of the upper and lower... but then you pretty much need to take off the grip and release the tension any time you want/need to crack the rifle open ![]() Yea I feel ya on this. Haven't used mine but then again I don't really need to. There is zero slop in mine. A tiny, tiny gap but no wiggle at all. I'm interested to hear if anyone's used the pins that Rainier sells to correct that problem. Those seem to me to be the ultimate fix for that problem and not just a "band-aid" solution,.... in theory anyway. |

I like the seekins lowers too, just cause they're different. You can't go wrong with the look of a standard lower, but when you're modifying every other part of a rifle, why go with a "stock" lower? I ordered one mainly because they look different (heard good things about them too). I'm going to build one in a different caliber (6.8, .300BO, ? ) and thought it'd make for easy ID. |

Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile I am old school and don't take the slop out at all. What's the hype? A sloppy, beat-up rifle or carbine that's still in spec is more than capable of 500m body shots all day and headshots with a few rounds to find your hold. Given the platform and cartridge, the game's not changing. |
