| I have to drive up I-75 to and from my house to work each day and I ALWAYS see cars and pickups from FLA passinf through my state (Georgia) off to who knows where but they drive SOO bad. They get over in the left lane and hold up traffic by driving slow or near the speed limit. But around here the left lane is for cars moveing fast than the other cars. As the sign says slower traffic use the right lane. |
| I can almost assure you that most are 'snowbirds' (aka Yankees). They drive sooooo bad. This is the first place I've lived that I haven't had a motorcycle. It's just too damned dangerous. The grayhairs literally clog the highways, streets, roads and parking lots! ARRRRRRRRGH! |

Its funny how the assheads from NJ will at least drive like they have somewhere to go and the Floridiots just putt around like nobody else could possibly have anything to do. |

What's really maddening is trying to get a doctor or dentist appointment after work. If I'm lucky I'll get a 4 PM appointment (time off from work = 1 hr). And yepper, the office is full of grayhairs. What do retirees do while the rest of us are working? BTW there is a bumper sticker 'round here that states "When I retire I'm going up north and drive slow!" |

I was in GA a few weeks ago... I must say, I hate how lots of those folks drive. The second day I was there, some guy totalled my girlfriends car (I was driving. It was his fault and he/cop/witness admitted it). Anyway, after that day, my girlfriend and I have noticed that a lot of accidents happen in GA (Atlanta area). We have seen so many idiots on the road. |

Also, most "visiters" here don't understand that a flashing yellow light at an intersection DOESN'T MEAN STOP, it's a CAUTION! EDIT: Yes, I got stuck (again) behind an out-of-stater on my way to work. GO HOME! [:D] |

I live outside Atlanta and have to commute into the city everyday for work, and it is a chore, every single day to keep from getting hit. |

Quoted: There are no florida natives left[:D] There are a few, part of my family has 3 generations (actually 4 if I can count my niece & nephew) of being a FL native. I love FL but I swear if we start to become the next CA because of all the liberals moving here I'm going to have to move. |

My family has a summer home in Blowing Rock,N.C.which is mainly a golfing community full of, with all due respect, older people from Florida who have homes there to escape the heat of the summer down south. Try driving around some curvy mountain road with some idiots from Florida in front of ya!! I mean I'm not going to run you off the road or anything, but be guaranteed I'll pass you the first chance I get[}:D]!! The "locals" call them Floridiots for driving 20mph in a 45mph or higher speedlimit. AAARRRRGGGHHH!!! Gemologist[x] BLOAT |

This is a subject near and dear to my heart. I'm a 5th generation Floridian and lived there 49 years before moving to the Northwest for business. I'm planning to move back next summer. The real Floridians are few and far between. Most of the people living there now are from god-for-saken places like New York, New Jersey, Michigan, Ohio etc. They are not like the real Floridians. They are POS! They stink, they are obnoxious, they hate Jesus, they are crooks and they sure as hell don't know how to drive. Real Floridians are southerners and are brothers to Alabama, Georgia, Carolinas, Mississippi, Texas etc. Their distant relatives fought for the Confederacy. Don't ever mistake a 65 year old POS from New Jersey with Florida license plates as being a Floridian. |

Same thing up here. In the summertime when I was younger I see so many old folks with florida plates driving on Northern Blvd. I asked my dad why there was so many of them up here, he said "because it's too hot down there." Well, it usually reaches in the 90's with humidity making feel hotter and they still come up here. Me thinks there's a conspiracy going on. [:o)] *spelling corrections* |

I just got back from spending 3 weeks down in Florida, mostly driving up and down Florida's Interstates. [red]NOBODY USES THEIR TURN SIGNAL!!! WTF?[/red] Not only is it potentially dangerous to not warn others of your direction change, but it is just one of those things that screams "I don't respect my fellow drivers, so why should I signal?" The Troopers should really crack down on the little things (turn signals, etc.) so as to prevent the BIG things from happening (collisions). |
|
Which state has the BEST drivers? I'm betting I get 50 different responses. To those complaining about drivers fron Florida: We get drivers from every state (yes, even HI and AK (large concentration of military)). All of them suck. I'll stay in FL if you can get all the rubbernecking morons to stay home. Eddie |

Quoted: [red]NOBODY USES THEIR TURN SIGNAL!!! WTF?[/red] I'm right with you on that Gene! I hate that! I'm so anal about use of the turn signal that if your lane is ending and it merges into mine, no signal that you want to come over, off into the woods you go! I will not let you over without that signal. I travel the same way to work everyday. See the same cars speeding up the lane that ends. They know it ends too, I see the same people do it everyday. They just want to cut in front of people. Well, no signal, you get to crash your car into a tree! Yippie! I don't have to yeild to them, my lane doesn't end. I have right of way. They flip me off like it was me who did something wrong. Mr/Mrs Special non-signaler thinks I'm obligated to let them over. Too Bad. [:D] |

Every single Floridiot I see here in VA is someone who should have stopped driving about five years ago and was probably born before the stock market crash. I work with a guy from St. Petersburg and he has no sympathy for my whining about this. He says, "You should be down there when THEY are!". |
