Bought a Kawasaki 220 Bayou 1991-2? for $500 running. My dad helped rebuild the carb as I have little time with them being born into the Multi Port Fuel era. I have it running and learned to run the carb dry as I was having starting problems .Now I need Tires. Seems 8 inch and 10 inch rim tires have become an oddball size. I really dont want to but $400 worth of rubber to be safe riding it. The tires are cracked but hold air. It was suggested that I fill them with green slime and keep rolling. That would be my last resort. Does anyone know if there are farm application or lawn tires that would be in the $50 range new ? Or a source for NOS tires not rotted yet. |

Just look on Dennis Kirk's web site. Do a search for your size. You can get a chinese knobby tire for $40, I think.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the help . Those tire balls are very interesting . I found the cheapest quality tire at around 50 a piece. I think I will buy the fronts first then backs. I checked with wally world and they stated it was an attrition thing going with their tires. I really am worried about getting scammed the most as google pulls up millions of tire places. |
