So I got off the night shift yesterday morning and decided to hook my boat up and go do a little fishing. I had about a half tank of gas when I got to the lake. So I went about my day, fishing was slow, and about 3pm I decided to call it a day. I got in my truck and turned it on and got an immediate low fuel warning alarm. Sumbitch, someone has siphoned my gas. I didn't worry about it too much, since tweakers are tweakers, and in the grand scheme, they only were able to suck a little gas, and didn't damage my vehicle. So I was able to get my boat loaded up, and thankfully there was enough fuel left in the tank to get me to the nearest gas station a couple miles away. I get to the pump, stick the fill nozzle into the fill tube, and squeeze the handle. Fuel went everywhere. WTF? The sumbitch had cut the fuel fill tube at the tank to get the gas out. I guess those anti siphon fill tubes aren't so great afterall if they make the thieves cut your shit up to steal your gas.
I ended up having to try to limp my truck a coupole of miles to the nearest repair shop, and had to leave my boat with someone locally at the lake and get a ride over an hour home. Now I have to get a rental to get me to and from work for a couple days because parts won't be in until after Monday. And I have to deal with the insurance company to cover those things because I'm not made of fucking money. All because some dickfaced tweaker decided he'd rather steal a little gas than pay for his own so he could use his money to buy some crank. So I hope the next time he fires up his pipe, that my stolen fuel ignites and sets his sorry ass on fire. Further I hope he suffers third degree burns about the face, head and neck and suffers a painful death from them. |
