Sir Stirling Moss was at Lime Rock last weekend and I had the opportunity to spend a few minutes talking to him. He is as humble as he is accomplished. He just stopped racing last year (Goodwood et al). Great sense of humor as well. He took a car for a spin with his wife - and they ran a group of cars that he had competed in during earlier years. Superb photo op.         |

The blue car is a Cooper. Looks like a T43.
I had no idea so many Arfcommer's were at LRP this past weekend. We should arrange a get together next year. I was on the other side of the track up by West Bend when it happened, but I understand there was some drama between the Merlyn Mk16 that was for sale and the beautiful little Ginetta G16 in the braking area for Big Bend on Monday afternoon. The G was blocked and apparently decided that the way around the Merlyn was not around but over! I guess no one was hurt but both cars were damaged. |
