Identify this. Probably a fuse. > General Discussion

One of the women I work with found it in a parking lot. She thought it was a "mortar round." What a mortar round would be doing in a parking lot in KS I have no idea.

I told her I thought it was a fuse but would be interested if anyone can give me a better identification.

It's either swamp gas or a weather balloon. Seeing as how there's been a lot of weather reported around the area lately it's most likely swamp gas.
We get all kinds of reports on these this time of year, nothing to worry about.
