So the first thread (found here ) between the Glocks is a clear winner for the model 19. Now that that's out of the way, how does the G19 stack up to other daily carry 9mms in GD.

Your options are:
Glock 19
H&K VP9
Walter PPQ
Sig Sauer P229
S&W M&P 2.0

I am interested in the M&P 2.0 though, nice looking pistol. I want to try one to see how it shoots.

The Glock 19 is smaller and more or equal capacity to everything else on your list. The VP9 feels huge in comparison.

I voted VP9 because P30, USP9, P2000 etc were not in there. I carry a P30 but in 40 Magnificent & Studly.

I live in the country, rural farming community, I can carry whatever I want. Lots of people walk around with big iron on their hips, old guys with wheel guns always in the credit union. I know a few guys that carry 22tcm pistols for shooting at coyotes when they see them out harvesting late in the day. People have truck guns of all sorts just sitting in the passenger seats of their trucks.

I bet you cant even comprehend walking into the town market with something like this on my hip in open view and no one batting an eye.

I'd love to live in an area like that :). Wouldn't bother me one bit! I support it, I just think that thing is crazy to rock on your hip. For the record I'm one of the few MD residents that can carrry.

As for the clipdraw, been carrying that way for about 6 years now and love it. IMHO it's equally as safe as putting it in a holster. I don't care how long it takes me to put the gun back after use, Only how long it takes me to get it out :). Clip draw on a 19/33/43 and had one on a LCP that I gave away......the new owner loves the clip draw.

For the record 99% of the self inflicted leg shots I've seen have been Ruger P series and Llamas......most of the leg shots are hammer guns and not striker fired things in my experience (and I've gone to a few).

For the record I prefer full size handguns. I carry a 1911 as is, I don't have a problem carrying full size pistols. Hell I can open carry at work if I want... I just normally choose to conceal and wanted to see what arfcoms top choices were....don't worry there will be probably 1 more poll...

Since I don’t own any of those. Probably a g19 or an m&p. I don’t really go for expensive carry guns.

Of what I own. My p938, because I shoot it insanely well (for me) and it will go more places than a full sized gun (again, for me).

As for the price of a 938.. I wouldn’t own one accept for I fell in love with my wife’s 238 and found my 938extreme in the used case of the gun store... Unfired... being sold used because of a gun store lackeys computer fuck up (they logged in a lay away as a transfer and the buyer backed out). So I payed 400 and gen1 LCP for it. Price tag was 599.
