Here is the message I sent to my Rep:
Our nation is being railroaded by the immigration bill coming from the Senate. Contrary to the disinformation coming from the Senate, our immigration system is NOT broken. The root problem is that it is not being enforced in regard to the millions of illegals who have crept across our border. To deliberately not enforce a law then say it's not working borders on criminal. The only area that really needs serious attention is improving the efficiency of the process for approving people trying to LEGALLY come to the country. These cries of "We can't deport millions of people - it's too expensive and we don't have the resources" are misleading. If the government started seriously prosecuting companies that employ illegals, including throwing a few CEOs in jail, the job market for illegals would dry up and they would deport themselves. This would also open up jobs for unemployed Americans. The only immigration reform we need is: 1) Enforcement of the current laws, 2) Prosecution of those who employ illegals, and 3) Improved processing for legal immigrants. I urge you to oppose the Senate immigration bill. |

I sent my Rep (Rigill (R) VA-02) one earlier this morning. He is on the verge of RINOism so I dont know he will care or not.
Im going to send my state's obama chode licking senators letters later telling them that they do not respect their constituents wishes or the Constitution so I will work hard to see them replaced. |

I urge you to oppose the Senate immigration bill. Outstanding! I share your views. This amnesty bill does nothing to help speed processing of legal immigrants or improve the system. It rewards lawbreakers and ensures that 10 years from now we'll have the exact same problem. The border security thing is a complete farce; no fence, moat or barbed wire will keep people out if there is no enforcement once they sneak in. The problem we have is not about immigrants, it's about lawlessness. For the people who actually want to become citizens we need an incentive to follow the rules, rather than break them. Finally, we cannot afford an 'open borer' policy with an expansive entitlement society. New immigrants should be able to support themselves. |

We're killing energy production, stopping manufacturing and importing surplus unskilled labor that will immediately go onto welfare.
Mexico is exporting their energy to China, and encouraging their welfare recipients to go across the border and be our problem. They win, we lose. This is beyond insanity. |

I put this to my congress critters. How do you deport 10 million people? Start with the first million and the rest will get the idea!
You hit the nail on the head. If they had been enforcing the law and openly deporting them in the first place, there wouldn't be that many here. Any new bill doesn't need border control in my opinion as much as it needs an aggressive deportation plan, not tied to the justice dept. They need to be 100% independent from Washington. |
