| What's every ones favorite hand held gizmo to improve grip strength ? I see everything from rubber balls to spring loaded things . What's best that I can use at the office that will actually improve grip strength but won't look out of place . |

Why do you need to improve your grip? Really the only thing that gets you better at grip is grip work. I can close a CoC 2.5, and am about half inch from closing a #3. I can DL 650-700+ and do a hang for 128seconds at 270lbs bodyweight for benchmark. –– Fat gripz, Timed hangs, heavy dumbell rows for high reps, shrugs, etc all work grip. Deadlifts with double overhand grip also do it. In the office, CoC grippers and the other grip things from IronMind are a good thing to throw in a desk drawer... |

Not sure what they're called.
A short dowel approx. 1" or more in diameter with a rope/string tied to the middle, long enough to reach the floor. Tie a weight to the bottom end of the string. I stand with my hands behind my back and "wind" the dowell, causing the string to wind up until the weight gets to the top. Great for your forearms and hands. -Coop |
| Our strength coach use to take 5gal buckets full of sand and make us open and close our hands in the buckets for a few minutes untill people started crying, then pullups. Lol. I guess youd look like a weirdo with a bucket of sand in your gym though but, iv seen weirder stuff at local gyms... |
| Also, wrap your weight bar/dumbells with a gym towell, or wear heavilly padded loftig gloves when you do your shruggs and pullups. When i grappled, if i grabbed a wrist, it was game over for my opponent. I use to have pittbull like grip, especially on the lankey dudes with skinny wrists and forearms. Work on super sets of mega high reps, then start adding weight after you hae good grip endurance |

In on this. I've been trying different stuff but they destroy my fragile office hands. I can tell my grip strength is lacking towards the end of a workout usually when doing pull ups. This is exactly why I don't wear gloves or straps when I lift. Within a month your hands will manlify and your grip will get better. |
