In a First, Openly Transgender Service Member Promoted Just two and a half months ago, as NBC OUT exclusively reported, Navy Lt. Cdr. Blake Dremann was one of four service members historically stepping out of Secretary of Defense Ash Carter's office a week prior to the announcement ending the ban on transgender troops. Then at a ceremony last Friday, Dremann became the first known openly transgender service member promoted since that repeal. To top it off, everyone on his promotion stage was transgender. Flanked by the American, Navy and Senior Executive Service flags, wearing his male summer whites and surrounded by his parents, family, friends, admirals, officers and representatives from a number of advocacy groups, Dremann stood to attention at the front of the President's Room at the Navy Memorial. http://www.nbcnews.com/feature/nbc-out/first-openly-transgender-service-member-promoted-n648366 |

That, is brutally demeaning to every person who has ever served in the Military.
People used to joke about fags and sodomy in the Navy, barrel boys, etc. But this is no joke. And the other Services are not far behind. It is fascinating to watch the American Empire fall in real time. Fascinating, and disturbing. |

Yeah, I was wondering about the PFT thing, too; I honestly couldn't tell if it originated as a man or woman. When this happens, what logistically happens? I mean he/she is an officer. Did it just show up to work one morning and tell all of its enlisted personnel "Okay sailors, from now on you have to call me Sir instead of Ma'am". I'd think it was a damn april fools joke, I don't know how they can be taken seriously at that point.
