[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Independence Day

The Concord Minuteman Statue was sculpted in 1874 by 22 year old local man Daniel Chester French.

The statue was cast in bronze at the Ames Foundry in Chicopee, MA, using pieces of condemned cannon said to be captured in the battle of Louisburg.
