While I've found copious amounts of pay sites that offer criminal background checks, i haven't had any luck finding any "free" public records type sites one could use to do criminal background checks with. Anyone out there have any links they could share? Thanks in advance for any replies. |
| Without access to leo whiz bang computer stuff these searchs are pretty spotty. I know someone who does these "checks" for a company that does background investigations for employers. He checks with the county clerk, so it'll pick up a felony-but you could have 10,000 misdemeanor child molestation arrests and get through the background because those charges do not result in anything being filed with the county clerk and it would cost a prohibitive amount of money to pay someone to run around to the town courts and check their records. That check is still only good for the county where it is done. |
