Seems Im in another glut of it.  Im tired but I cant sleep and will not even fall asleep until Im not able to stay awake.  Usually that is about one or two hours before I need to get up.  This cycle keeps going until finally I end up collapsing and sleeping for 20-22 hours straight on a weekend.  Then Im okay for a little while and then it repeats itself again..  Yeah, its stress related, I already know..

Liquor + diphenhydramine usually does the trick pretty quickly.

Melatonin has worked for me in the past.  If that doesn't work, drink heavily.

I notice when I am thinking about alot of things, I have can trouble sleeping. You just got to try and lay there and really think about anything. I will just turn the fan on and try to only listen to the fan, and that usually helps.

Melatonin would give me horrible sleep hangovers. I'd wake up feeling extremely tired, regardless of how much I slept. It gave me some fairly intense dreams, however.

I used to have that problem.  Then I started doing exercises again, and it has helped quite a bit.

I have the same issue. I think most of it is just staying up too late in the first place without trying to wind down and sleep.
