I readily admit that I'm a novice. That said... My new .458 SOCOM upper arrived today, and the first thing I did was try and install the .458 SOCOM flash hider. As you may already know (and I did not until just now), the flash hider does not screw all the way down to the fat part of the barrel, because the threads do not go all the way down to the fat part of the barrel. I am told that I need a "crush washer" to go between the barrel and the flash hider. Is this a mandatory part? Should this have come with the flash hider? Can I just go buy any old "crush washer" from Lowes and use it? |
