So my wife and I had great insurance until I was let go last May. My wife graduated with a Masters degree at the end of May and started working at an outpatient children's therapy center as a speech language pathologist in July.
Her employer said that we wouldn't be eligible for health insurance until 90 days after her employment. That 90 days came and past and the company decided to switch to a new insurance provider, so that prolonged us for insurance. They finally got with Blue Cross Blue Shield for insurance at the beginning of November and we finally got our lnsurance cards at the end of November.

Yesterday, my wife goes into her docters office to get a check up and some birth control and they said our insurance expired on December 2nd... WTF over?

It has happened to other employees also.

The business is decent, but with all this Obama care bull shit and sandbagging insurance conpanies (the patients) they have had to cut personell...so much drama with this company. As long as she gets a paycheck and we get some insurance, I'm happy. But she's planning on going to a different company that's not an outpatient service once she finishes her "internship" after 9 months of employment.

Anyway, is this normal?

call BCBS and see what the problem is or call the payroll dept of your wifes work and see if there was an issue there. unless the ins was cancelled by the employer then it usually takes at least 2 months of missed payments before you are dropped.

Maybe they are looking at your old insurance company.

Not when you give them the new insurance card with a new insurance company
