Interesting article I saw on a security website.  Not sure I agree 100% with his conclusions but it's definitely food for thought and I think maybe a good read for people who spent less time fantasizing about the Zombie Apocolypse (ie non-Arfcomers)

The Principles of Self Defense

Quick summary:
#1: Avoid dangerous people and dangerous places
#2: Do not defend your property
#3: Respond immediately and escape

Not sure I agree with #2, but in the context of his argument it does make a certain amount of sense.  Some of the things he says about #3 are also not very easy to accept, but I can't honestly say they are wrong, I am still trying to get some more facts to decide.   Anyway, as I said, if you have people you care about who won't arm themselves, I think this contains some useful information.  Even if you do plan on defending yourself I see some utility in the arguments he makes. .

[#1]
I don't want to agree with #2, because I'd want to kill someone fucking with my property.  However, I have to admit he's right.  Financially and legally, is it worth killing someone over your car?  Maybe, but most likely not.

Good read.
