So I recently moved and the community wifi here was a pain in the ass to connect to at first, and then finally after getting on the phone with the provider I was able to connect to it.  However, Google chrome won't load anything or even work on it, Safari will load one page sometimes, and firefox is the only web browser that will actually work with it.  Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?  It works fine on everyone elses computers and phones that I've talked to.  Also the internet speed is quite fast.  I just think it's really odd that it only works with firefox, but I don't know much about wifi in general.

Community WiFi?  Did you move into a hotel?  Old folks home?

Sounds like a settings issue of some sort.

Are your installed Safari and Chrome setup to use a proxy? Are they not set up for a proxy that they should be?

It sounds like FF is working, so you have a functional connection, but your other browsers are borked.

Turns out it had something to do with my antivirus, removed that, then reinstalled chrome and it's back to working again.
