I just got a new Thinkpad laptop that should be better or equal to my work laptop in all respects.  However, pages are slow to load and any streaming media (i.e. Glenn Beck's show this morning) gets constantly interrupted buffering.  OS is Windows XP and the internet is through Comcast.

The same issue is present using IE8, Opera and Firefox. I have tried rebooting both the computer and modem, disabling the firewall and anti-virus programs. Per Speakeasy, my download speed is around 7Mbs.  While this download speed should be sufficient, as a point of reference, my work laptop is getting 22Mbs using the same connection.

Any thoughts/suggestions before I get connected to India and told to restart my computer?

Thanks

Wired or wireless?

If it's new, it may have come with 'anti virus security' crapware that can screw with your network connection.

Got a link to the web site for this particular computer so we can get a better idea what it is? Or a model number?

I'm on a hardwire connection right now.

Here's a link to the specific computer:
