Spin off of what's wrong with my internet. Do Satellite TV companies offer an internet package? If not, why? That would seem like a good idea for people that live in the sticks and have dial up. |

Satellite internet sucks. I don't know what a place like directTV offers, but even satellite from a dedicated satellite internet provider (who presumably do it better) sucks pretty bad. Latency runs at least a full second to anything 'local' to your downlink location, and from there of course it just climbs. It's fine for web browsing, email (not webmail), and downloading but sucks for anything interactive. |

Yes you can have an Internet connection via sattelite. You need 2 boxes, one for upload one for download and the latency is just horrid. You also have a cap as to how much you can download. Gaming is completely out You share the same IP as everybody else It starts storming, forget about it. my 2cents |
lolzzzz!!! I don't live in the sticks, I'm just curious what those in the sticks do without broadband and dialup for porn and WoW. |
