If you are driving on the interstate and suddenly realize that you need to be traveling in the opposite direction, proceed to the next exit and do what you need to do.

If you use one of the crossovers on a 70 MPH road you are a fucking asshole and I secretly hope that there's a cop hidden in there to give you a ticket.

Seriously, that shit is dangerous, and I've seen multiple times in the past week.

With a Jeep you can cross over any time you want. Although those new cables do present a problem.

I have a 1988 Grand Wagoneer,  don't need no stinking crossovers

ETA: yes, cables may complicate the above

You can even do it with hookers and blow in your car.

I'm with ya OP.

I have had a very near accident with a driver who pulled onto the highway from a crossover. He just turned in to the fast lane right in front of me while I was doing 80mph. I had to lock up the brakes to avoid hitting him.

Go to the next exit fucking assholes. Pisses me off even more than the douchebags that hold up traffic while they wait to make a left turn over a double yellow line. It should be legal to shoot those fuckers on sight.

If you're in Florida, anything goes. I've seen people turn around and drive against traffic using the emergency lanes, I've seen people drive against traffic using the freeway entry lane(s) as an exit, I've seen people drive in reverse, again using the emergency lanes, and many more times than I can remember, using the utility crossovers. Usually they will pull out doing a brisk 20 mph when approaching traffic is at 80. Sort of a pucker factor going on.

Next exit's too far man, not happening.
