Kinda goes with common sense on bell curve but if you visit one town and 5% of women are attractive like my experiences in Indonesia where I love the surfing or you’re in Stockholm and it’s like 25% that 20% difference will make you feel like every chick is hot. Same in California hot women around Hollywood but then go to Stockton or Bakersfield and it’s different story. So even if you ignore the photo ops and look at group photos you still see cute chicks mixed in. I think only places in Africa are where it’s 0% hot women. Iran's main motivation for building nuclear weapons is the continued Revolutionary Government's internal control over Iran. They want nukes to try and establish regional MAD with Israel and other Middle Eastern nations, and by extension, to deter Europe and the US from backing any regime change actions.
If they can establish nuclear MAD, Iran can then fuck around with shipping/oil in the Straits of Hormouz and funding/supporting low level proxy war, terrorism, and civil war in the Middle East indefinitely. This way they can continually create a state of external crisis and threats/enemies that oppose Iran, and any internal dissent or counter-revolutionary politics is "extra treasonous." And Israel and the West aren't worrying about some fanatical apocalyptic use of Iranian nukes they think will reveal the hidden Imam and unite the Muslim world in the final Jihad. I mean, "never say never", they've got an eye on that of course. But the real intolerable risk that's the most likely is Iran sticking around chronically, like a case of herpes. The big protests in Iran over the morality-squad beating that poor woman to death because of her hajib are motivating their nuclear program as much, if not more than external pressures from the West, Israel, and the Sunni/Shia split in the Middle East are. The Iranians in general disliked the Shah, and the US, UK, and oil interests that tried to prop him up, but the uber-theocratic revolutionary government isn't popular either. And the revolutionary government knows it cannot coast on antipathy for the Shah and the West, or the generalized Muslim distaste for Israel forever. They need to stir the pot to stay in power. |
