AJ then sends you a check every 3 or 6 months (i forget which). It's definitely legit. Cash back varies by vendor. Sportsmans Guide often has very good % cash back. Academy is also a AJ vendor. I'm still loading 55g blasting ammo from when primers were $130-$140 per 5k. Powder was $140 per 8lb and 55g Winchester bulk packs were $300 per 6800 in bulk from Wideners. Don't have a lot of any of that left. But I can still load from that stash. Today's pricing? It would be hard to load and save an appreciable amount. |

Quoted: You're going to see POI changes between ammo types. View Quote Yeah but they're pretty negligible at ranges inside of 100 yards. After a lifetime of shooting a bunch of different ARs I'd say perhaps 80-90%% of them will shoot multiple loads to within 2MOA of each other (55 to 77 grain, anyway) out to 200+ yards. Pencil barrels might be a hair more finicky but not by much. Remember that *HONEST* group sizes with M193 won't likely ever go much below 3moa. There's every chance that a high-quality 69/75/77 match type load will shoot much tighter groups than M193 but that group will likely land at least partially within the larger ~3moa group you'll get from M193. I doubt that anyone ever zeroes with a quality 75-77 grain load then notices any appreciable POI shift at all on an inside-100-yard training course. Doubly so if you're shooting at typical inside-50-feet distances. |

Gun cotton is in short supply because of the war in Ukraine. Copper/brass has risen for the same reason. I reload and purchased large quantities of supplies decades ago when they were cheap. Really cheap. I never saw a sale that I didn't like.
Reloading isn't what it used to be. Current prices have made it a wash if you are buying/shooting ball ammo. The only advantage is knowing you are self-sufficient when times get hard. |
